At My Academy, we are committed to maintaining the integrity of the qualifications we provide. To this end, we thoroughly investigate all reported or suspected cases of malpractice or maladministration and take necessary corrective actions.
Malpractice
Malpractice refers to any intentional act or omission that undermines the integrity of the assessment process or compromises the validity of issued certificates. Examples of malpractice include, but are not limited to:
• Cheating
• Impersonating another learner
• Collusion
• Fabrication or falsification of information
• Plagiarism
Both parties may be deemed responsible in cases where a learner knowingly allows their work to be copied by another.
Maladministration
Maladministration is defined as any activity or oversight that leads to non-compliance with the prescribed requirements for delivering a qualification.
Investigation Procedure
In the event of suspected malpractice by a learner:
1. The matter will be reported to the relevant awarding organisation.
2. We will conduct an internal investigation, documenting the details of the suspected issue and any actions taken.
Consequences of Malpractice
If an investigation confirms malpractice:
1. The learner's assessment result will be voided, and their achievement invalidated.
2. We reserve the right to terminate the learner's enrolment. In such cases:
o We will cease any obligations towards the learner.
o No refund will be issued.
o Any outstanding fees owed by the learner will remain payable.
