Course Dates:
13th-14th July 2024
Course Content:
- Introduction to MK Pilates Tower repertoire, emphasising the essence of movement and objectives of each exercise.
- Techniques for initiating and sequencing muscle engagement from beginner to advanced Tower workouts.
- Utilisation of Tower-based exercises for enhanced postural analysis and improvement.
- Development of observational skills to ensure correct execution of exercises.
- Strategies for creating tailored Tower programs, incorporating exercise variations and modifications specific to individual body types.
- Methods for effective communication, including precise verbal cueing and the creative use of imagery to enhance understanding and execution.
Duration and Format:
- An intensive course format culminating in practical Pilates Labs for hands-on client interaction and feedback.
- Comprehensive course materials and an initial equipment movement repertoire provided at the first module.
- Completion of six case studies, each involving eight sessions including postural assessments, personalized program planning, and a final evaluation, to be completed within three months.
Hours Summary:
- 16 lecture hours focusing on the comprehensive study of the Tower exercises.
- 48 hours allocated for case study execution and evaluation.
Prerequisites:
- Participants must have completed the Stage 1 Matwork Courseor equivilant to enrol.
Course Includes:
- A detailed examination of the MK Pilates Tower repertoire from beginner through advanced levels.
- A strong focus on postural analysis, enhancement, and overall body conditioning.
- Tools for program design including program cards, postural assessment forms, and participant questionnaires.
- Review sessions and practice teaching opportunities tailored to the participants' levels of experience.
- Final assessment through presentation of a case study and practical testing for certification.
